January and February in Nursery

Date: 8th Mar 2018 @ 10:13am

As always, we have been really busy having lots of fun in Nursery this term. Our topic of Under The Sea was great fun. We looked at stories such as Barry The Fish With Fingers, The Fish Who Could Wish and Rainbow Fish, making beautiful artwork to go alongside  our retelling of the stories. We are lucky to have fish here at Kew, so used this opportunity to go and study them and make excellent observations of their features.

The snow was brilliant, and we braved the cold to get outside and explore it, although we think Mrs Gisbon and Mrs McKeating had the most fun really. In contrast to the cold snowy days, we have also had some lovely sunny days which have allowed us to make shadows. We made a shadow puppet theatre, but quickly realised that our beautiful conservatory is the perfect place to see shadows.

World Book Day was a brilliant success as always and we thoroughly enjoyed seeing the wonderful array of costumes this year.  Please keep your eye out though for some escaped zoo animals, particularly a scary lion.

We are now already well into our next topic of Medieval Madness, so check back here soon for pictures of dragons, knights and princesses.
