Science Week

Date: 18th Mar 2017 @ 3:44pm

This week has been Nationak Science Week. In Year 2 we have been busy investigating all things space related!

On Monday children were told that two new materials had been found in space - a brown, gassy liquid, and small, white space rocks. The children were asked to make a prediction as to what they thought might happen if these two materials were mixed. Some children thought the space rocks might dissolve, others thought there might have been a reaction which could cause an explosion! Fortunately the experiment ended safe and sound and the children learnt all about what happens when gases are released.

On Tuesday green 'alien slime' was found in the classroom. We investigated what happened when the slime was left over time. We couldn't believe our eyes when it began to fizz and turn into bubbles!
