World Book Day

Date: 2nd Mar 2017 @ 3:08pm

Well, it has been another fantastic World Book Day in Year 6 and we have loved surrounding ourselves with creativity and imagination. We began the day with a fantastic assembly led by Miss Williams, and this was a great opportunity to admire all the amazing costumes across the school.

Then, as Miss Tittle had been sent on a secret mission with some children, Ms Jackson led us in creating new imaginative creatures which may have been found by Alice in Wonderland. We used lots of great descriptive language, and three pieces will be put forward for our writing competition. We also sketched some ideas for a new library design, and again, the most imaginative ideas will be put forward for a whole school house team competition.

We finished the day with a story, created by some Year 6 children including Amolika and Erin from our class. This was the secret mission that Miss Tittle had been set! The story included lots of adults that work in our school, and we really enjoyed sharing it.
