World War II visitor...

Date: 21st Oct 2016 @ 3:02pm

As Year 6 have been studying World War II for three weeks now, we decided that we would like to invite special guest speaker into school to tell us all about WWII and show us actual artefacts from that period in time. We were very lucky to have Charlie Southern deliver a workshop for Year 6 explaining how Southport was changed in WWII and how it played a very important role in sheltering evacuees. Charlie also brought in different artefacts and we were very impressed by how new they looked considering they were over 70 years old!
