Year 3 Rugby Festival

Date: 22nd May 2018 @ 11:45am

As part of our schools links with Christ the King High school, we took part last week in a tag-rugby festival for year 3 children. We were able to take 3 teams to represent Kew Woods. For a lot of the children it was their first time playing competitive rugby and also their first time representing school.

All the children played with a fantastic spirit and showed real determination to either grab opponents tags or run and score with the ball. They encouraged each other on their team but also supported each other’s teams.

We played in 2 small leagues, to ensure everyone had lots of games to play and each game scored points.

Our yellow team finished 3rd in their league and our blue team finished 4th in their league. They both scored lots of tries and won, drew and lost games throughout the afternoon.

However our red team won every match and went on to win their league. Congratulations to them and to everyone who played it was a pleasure to take the children to this event.
