6W 2017 - 2018

Welcome to 6W!

Year 6 is packed full of exciting opportunities, gripping challenges and outstanding work. In the Autumn Term our topic is 'Is it right to fight?', focuing in particular on WW2. We will read 'Goodnight Mr Tom' as part of this topic, and build our own Anderson Shelters towards the end of the term.  In Spring we study the Americas, looking at how deforestation is impacting on the Amazon rainforest and learning about the lasting legacy of the Myan Civilization. Our Summer topic is all about Positivity, and looks at how we can make positive changes and consider who has made a positive change to the world we live in today. During this year, we will be visiting London in October, and Robinwood Activity Centre in March. We will also put on an amazing Christmas performance and look after our buddies in Reception. A very busy year!
