|We aim to make music an enjoyable learning experience, encouraging children to participate in a variety of musical experiences through which we aim to build up the confidence of all children in singing, playing, composing, appraising and performing. A music specialist currently delivers music lessons, as well as weekly singing sessions. Children in Key Stage Two also have opportunities to learn to play a brass instrument and to participate in drumming lessons.
Every December we hold The Q Factor, providing an opportunity to showcase talents to the school and our celebrity judges. Pupils in Key Stage 2 also have the opportunity to audition to sing in the end of term performances. Our annual Kew Proms showcase the instrumental and singing skills of pupils from right across the school, and is always a popular event with parents.
Night at the Musicals...
“Night at the Musicals was excellent. We performed songs and danced. Our costumes looked great. My mum thought it was a really professional show. I wonder what we will do this year.” Year 5 pupil
