Special Educational Needs and Disability
Kew Woods is an inclusive school which offers a broad, balanced and differentiated curriculum so that all pupils can fulfill their potential. We recognise that all children are unique and that some children will have particular needs which need to be identified and met. This may be because of learning difficulties, health issues, a disability and emotional or behavioural difficulties. We integrate children with individual needs into our learning community and develop within our school empathy, understanding and tolerance of the needs and differences of other for the mutual benefit of all pupils.
The school works with the Code of Practice 2014 and in compliance with the Equality Act 2010.
"Because their progress is well tracked and their learning needs met, disabled pupils and those with special educational needs make good progress."-Ofsted Inspection 2013
