Today pupils had lots of fun investigating their hand span. We started with making a class list of questions.

“Will a taller child have bigger hands?”

“Will you have a wider hand span if you are older?”

“As you get older, do your hands shrink?”

Pupils then walked around the classroom making comparisons ready for discussion. After wonderful discussion about observations made, pupils took part in a ‘Hand span grab’. Pupils made predictions about who could pick up more cubes based on their hand span. We had some interesting results!

To finish we drew round our hands and measured our individual hand span. Pupils used rulers extremely accurately. Well done 2W!
